With photos printed on shrink-plastic sheets, you can make keychains of favorite family vacation photos, or a whole charm bracelet full of family portraits. This will make it look a little washed out when you print it, but as your project shrinks while it’s baking the colors will intensify. You can use shrink plastic and acrylic paint to create keychains or even holiday ornaments of your little ones’ handprints.

As the plastic shapes shrink, they will curl up and flatten. As it heats up, it will curl and bend before flattening back out. The shrink plastic will curl initially and then flatten out. Initially, your shrinky dink will curl up, but keep heating, moving the heat gun around, and it will flatten out as more of the shrink plastic shrinks fully. Shrink plastic curls and contorts as you heat it, but flattens itself out again. Usually, the plastic sheet curls up at first but will flatten out as you continue heating and the shrinking becomes more uniform across the shape.
